HYMER, the flagship brand of Europe’s largest RV manufacturer Erwin Hymer Group, is making its debut in New Zealand and Motorhomes, Caravans & Destinations (MCD) magazine reviewer Bill Savidan was ready for the scoop.
This is the first time a HYMER vehicle has been reviewed by MCD, and it’s also the first time the magazine has reviewed a factory-built four-wheel drive motorhome. As such, the level of anticipation was high.
And as this motorhome review notes, high expectations were met.
According to Bill, the ML-T 580 4x4 epitomises Hymer’s long-standing tradition, experience and a design philosophy that aspires to be the trendsetter in new ideas and developments.
Bill remarks the interior is true to HYMER form – comfortable, classic and understated that will stand the test of time. The exterior is ‘ready for business’ in Bill’s words, with a sleek low profile body shape, all terrain tyres and a large rear garage with doors on both sides.
Built for exploring – with an extra 8.5cm clearance when in 4x4 mode, an impressive 350kg weight load capacity for the garage, and heating systems well-equipped for harsh New Zealand winters – this vehicle will not disappoint the most avid of adventurers.
Bill was solid in his verdict: there are no downsides to making this vehicle your second home.
