Wilderness ushers in the New Year with a game-changer
The Covi Motorhome, Caravan & Outdoor Supershow (17 – 19 March) will host Wilderness's launch of the trend-setting HYMER line up, introducing a level of premium motorhomes and caravans never before seen on our shores.
From its trailblazing beginnings in Germany in the ‘50s, HYMER is the first name in classic European motorhomes, pioneering a tradition of comfort, luxury and safety that continues to set a benchmark for excellence. HYMER’s four divisions also make caravans, cars, parts and accessories, and employ about 1,400 people at the company’s Bad Waldsee site.
Two of HYMER’s top executives will travel from Germany to support the NZ launch; Bernhard Kibler, Managing Director at HYMER, along with Andrea Kibler, Export Manager at HYMER.
‘The HYMER brand brings a truly classic element to our range,’ says John Managh, Managing Director, Wilderness. ‘It will satisfy the most discerning traveller looking for top quality and long-lasting value. There’s also a 4-wheel drive and a rear wheel drive option for serious exploring.’
The four models set to be unveiled are:
- HYMER ML-T 580 4x4 (motorhome on a Mercedes four-wheel drive chassis),
- Hymermobil StarLine B680 (motorhome on a Mercedes rear-wheel drive chassis),
- Hymermobil StarLine B690 (motorhome on a Mercedes rear-wheel drive chassis),
- Eriba Touring Triton 420 (caravan).
Following the launch, Mr Kibler is looking forward to touring New Zealand in a rental motorhome from sister company, Wilderness Motorhome Rentals.
The opportunity to own a piece of history with HYMER’s tradition of excellence and innovation will be available exclusively through Wilderness from March 2017.
